IO – Another remarkable achievement has been accomplished by a student of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur (UPNVJT). Faliha Nayza Syafhan Siregar, a student from the Business Administration Study Program, has successfully secured an international internship position at the ASEAN University Network (AUN).
Established in 1995, the ASEAN University Network (AUN) is an association of 30 leading universities across ASEAN member states. The network aims to strengthen regional solidarity, enhance the quality of higher education and promote academic mobility within the ASEAN region. AUN focuses on cross border academic collaboration, quality assurance, and innovation, serving as a strategic platform for advancing ASEAN higher education on both regional and global levels.
Nayza is participating in the AUN Internship Program Batch 2, which runs for four months from May to August 2026. The program adopts a project-based assignment system and encompasses four main scopes of work: project management, communications and writing, research and information, as well as graphic design and social media production.
Throughout the internship, Nayza has contributed to several ongoing projects and produced outputs that have gained international recognition. Her responsibilities include preparing evaluation reports for official events, creating graphic design content published on AUN’s official Facebook page, and editing videos distributed to university leaders and stakeholders across the ASEAN region.

Nayza shared that she first learned about this valuable opportunity through the Instagram of UPNVJT’s International Office (IO). Information published on the office’s Instagram encouraged her to explore the program further and eventually apply for the internship.
For students who aspire to follow a similar path, Nayza offered several insights. According to her, the AUN Internship Program is highly recommended for those who wish to expand their international network and gain new experiences. However, she noted that the program can be challenging for applicants who lack prior experience in the project areas involved.

“They are usually looking for candidates who have at least a basic understanding of one of the work areas. But don’t worry, mentors and staff at AUN are very open and supportive. If we have some difficulties, they are always willing to help,” Nayza explained.
Nayza’s achievement is expected to inspire and motivate fellow UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur students to seize international opportunities and continue bringing pride to the university at both regional and global levels.
