The U.S. Embassy Jakarta is seeking active university students in Indonesia to join our internship program at the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta, the U.S. Consulate General in Surabaya and Medan, and the U.S. Mission to ASEAN in Jakarta. Foreign National Student Intern Program (FNSIP) is an internship program with a unique opportunity to offer the experience to learn and work in the U.S. BI Mission Indonesia for selected Indonesian students.
Why you must apply for this internship?
This is an unpaid program, no compensation and benefits are offered. Although this internship isn’t paid, you will get more than the money. You will get incredible experience to working in multicultural environment and doing a valuable project. This internship will bring you contribute to strengthens the bond between these two nations, the Republic of Indonesia and US America.
Who can apply this program?
- Indonesian citizen
- Minimum 18 years old
- Available for Indonesian Students who are in their 5th Semester
- Have a minimum GPA 2.75
- English Profiency test is not required, but it’s preferred.
- Open for all degree programs. Some vacancies may require specific knowledge or specific educational background.
- Must have personal medical insurance during internship program (BPJS or other)

- Academic Transcript.
- Letter of permission to intern at the Bi-Mission Indonesia from the university.
- Confirmation letter regarding personal medical insurance. (A scanned copy of your BPJS card should be sufficient. If you don’t have a BPJS, please send us the letter from your medical insurance agency).

When this internship will be started?
This program will be held for 3-months during summer. This program will be held hybrid. The Participant can work remotely or work in US Embassy Office which is located in Jakarta, Surabaya, and Medan.
